When do my charges begin and end when renting a vehicle?
Customers are billed from the time personnel and/or vehicles leave the Sterling Elite facility until the time it returns to the Sterling Elite facility.
Can I pay cash for the trip?
Please let us know in advance if you plan to pay for the trip in cash and know a credit card is still required in order to book.
How do I handle the gratuity for the chauffeur?
We pride ourselves with excellent customer service, so we do not dictate gratuity to our customers. Please tip freely based on your overall experience.
What happens if my reservation doesn't end on time or want to keep it longer?
Using the limousine after the designated end time depends on availability. If the limousine has a booking after yours, we won’t be able to extend your reservation. If it's available, the hourly rate will apply to the extended time. Communicate with your driver regarding availability. If the limousine is not available for extended time, please be considerate of the people using the limousine next and end your reservation on time.
When is my payment due? Is a deposit required?
When booking your trip, you will be asked to put a card on file. Cancellation fees within 3 hours of scheduled pick up may apply up to full amount of the reservation. All published rates are subject to change without notice. Current rates are confirmed at the time of reservation.
Is my pet allowed in the vehicles?
Service animals are always allowed in the vehicles. If you are planning a trip that includes your pet, please talk to a representative.
What comes in a limousine and what can we bring?
All stretched limousines are stocked with ice and water. You are encouraged to bring snacks with you. Maine alcohol laws DO permit open containers in a vehicle designed for the for-hire transporting of people. Non-stretch vehicles come with water.
What if my flight doesn't land on time?
For all reservations there is a 20 minute grace period beyond the scheduled pick up time. A fee of $5.00 per (5) minutes increments will be incurred, any changes to the initial reservation must be done within 3 hours of scheduled pick up.
I have an early morning pick up / drop off, can you help?
Pickups between 11:59 PM and 6:00 AM are subject to a $35 surcharge. Effective August 1. 2018
I am traveling on a holiday, is there extra costs?
A $35.00 holiday surcharge will be charged to all trips occurring on: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas.
I am traveling with a child, but I do not have a car seat with me, can you help?
Car seats and booster seats are available for $25.00 each. Please let customer service know upon making your reservation if you need to include a seat.
Rules and Regulations
Alcohol will NOT be allowed in the vehicle if any passengers are under the age of 21. If this is found, the charter may be terminated immediately and no refund will be given. Sterling Elite strictly enforces State and Federal Laws and will maintain a zero tolerance compliance policy that no alcoholic beverages can be consumed or used by any person not of legal drinking age. Illegal drugs in any of our vehicles will not be tolerated. If found, your trip will be terminated and no refund given.
All of our vehicles are non-smoking. If smoking occurs in a vehicle you will be charged and the reservation terminated immediately. No exceptions.
All vehicle prices and trips are quoted based on availability and rates are subject to change without notice.
Sterling Elite is not responsible for any lost, damaged, or stolen property.
Sterling Elite is not responsible for delays or termination in extreme weather caused by unsafe road conditions (i.e. flooded, ice, snow, accidents, etc.)
Customer agrees that replacement vehicles may be substituted in the event of any major mechanical issues.
Vehicles cannot be loaded beyond seating capacity.
$20.00 per glass for broken or missing glasses.
$500.00 clean-up fee for excessive matter in vehicle.
All unruly persons will be dropped off at the sole discretion of the driver and no refunds.
