How long in advance do I need to reserve my transportation?
You can reserve your transportation as soon as you receive your flight schedule.
Do I need to call and confirm my reservation?
Sterling Elite should contact you several days before your reservation. If you are not contacted, please call the office no later than the day before you are scheduled to be picked up.
How much luggage can we fit in the vehicle?
We can accommodate up to six standard size bags in the trunk. If you have more than six bags, the driver can place some bags in the front.
How will we recognize the driver at the airport or hotel?
The driver will be at the designated limousine area.
For pick ups at larger airports, the driver will be holding a sign with your name printed on it.
For hotel pick ups, we will notify the front desk of our arrival.
What if we can not find the driver at the airport or hotel?
If you cannot find your driver, you should call our office at 207.785.3100.
Do I travel alone when going to the airport or is it a shared ride?
Sterling Elite is a door-to-door service for each client or client group alone. No one else will be in the vehicle with your party.
What if my flight is delayed?
We will be calling the airline ahead of time and checking the website to ensure we will be arriving on time.
What if I want to ride to the airport to meet my loved one?
At no extra cost, you can ride to the airport to meet your loved one.
How can I save money on a special airport trip, such as a family vacation?
For an exciting depature or arrival for your family, a stretch limousine or car of your choice is just the thing to do so. We will pick you up at the designated spot in the vehicle of your liking.
What is offered with airport service?
We provide transportation to and from all commercial and private airports in Maine and New England. Booking private transportation with us offers you convenient door-to-door service. We provide complimentary water and a daily newspaper with every trip.
What if my flight is late?
Our chauffeurs will adjust their departure time from the garage based on your flight’s estimated landing time. Please note that in certain cases, the chauffeur must depart our facility prior to your plane’s departure in order to reach the airport on time; if a plane is delayed after the chauffeur’s departure, all time is billable. You are also welcome to call us anytime, if you know there is a delay or change in your flight. If your flight is cancelled for any reason, call our staff as soon as possible to cancel or reschedule your service.
Where do I meet my limousine at the airport?
Due to Homeland Security, our chauffeurs are required to stay with the vehicle at all times when picking up and dropping off at airports. If you would like to be met in baggage claim, a meet and greet service would be required at an additional fee. Otherwise, you will need to exit the terminal and meet your chauffeur in a designated limo lot. This varies based on the airport and terminal as follows:
Portland Jetport: Exit the terminal at baggage claim and the limousine pick-up area is directly to your right.
Manchester Airport: Exit the main terminal doors, cross two streets to parking area and your chauffeur will be waiting in the lower parking lot.
Logan – terminal A – Exit terminal on arrival level.
Logan – terminal B – Exit terminal on arrival level, cross three lanes into the center garage and follow signage to limo stand.
Logan – terminal C – Exit terminal on departure level and follow signage to limo stand.
Logan – terminal E – Exit terminal on arrival level and follow signage to limo stand.
Our chauffeur will monitor your flight arrival and plan to meet you in the designated limousine area 15 minutes after your flight lands (30 minutes after international arrivals unless you note with us you have a Global Pass). If you would like additional time to make it from your flight to the designated limousine area, please let our reservationist know so that you do not incur additional time on your reservation.
